XIANG Biao 项飙is a renowned Chinese social anthropologist and migration researcher known for his studies on global mobility, labour migration and transnationalism. He studied sociology at Peking University in China and completed his doctorate in social anthropology at Oxford University. He has been working there since 2004. Xiang has received several awards for his academic work. In 2008, he received the prestigious Anthony Leeds Prize for his book Global Bodyshopping and in 2012 the William L.
